“I’ve worked extensively with Erin, and she brings to her work all the attributes you could want. She’s extremely sharp and pays attention to every detail, she has an intuitive feel for language and how to use it for a specific audience, and she’s highly responsible and conscientious about her work. I enjoy working with her every time, and I trust her to take on any project.”

Word Jones
I have a thing for sharp pencils. It’s partly because I’m left-handed and endured years of ink tattoos on my hypothenar eminence. But it’s also because I coveted my dad’s electric pencil sharpener. When I was good, he’d let me twist a stack of No. 2s into fine points. Those pencils took me places. They still do.

Now I own the pencil sharpener.

Work History
I used to sit in a cube to write. A high-security badge opened the door to Fortune 500s, start-ups and ad agencies. I managed people with passion and  potential. I liked what I did.

Now I have a room with a view. The UPS driver is the only one on the other side of the door. I manage projects for clients with passion and potential. I love what I do.

Education
I have bachelor of arts degrees in German language & literature and comparative area studies from Duke University.

Other Work
I’m on the Board of Komak, a Portland nonprofit that provides interim financial assistance to people affected by cancer. I volunteer with the Duke University Alumni Committee, interviewing a handful of humbling applicants every year.

Other Talents
I speak, read and write German and Italian. I work on a Mac and a PC, and I use Adobe Acrobat, most of the Microsoft Office Suite and iWeb. I know HTML and the grammar rules in the Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook. I’m an amateur fused glass artist and rock tumbler. I co-own a dog products business, I love the great outdoors, and I’m a fourth-generation Oregonian.
